The Greene County Medical Center is seeking nominations for a bi-annual award.
The DAISY Award celebrates nurses that show extraordinary patient care. Nominations can come from co-workers, patients, patient’s family or community members. During the public ceremony, the DAISY winner will receive a DAISY pin and a hand carved stone sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch.”
The DAISY Foundation is an international award that was established in 1999 that honors the memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died of complications of the auto-immune disease Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP). During his care, Barnes’ family noticed the outstanding and compassionate care of the nursing staff.
Nominations for the DAISY Award must be submitted by April 15th. Click the link below to access the online nomination form.
