Friday, April 9th

2:05am: An officer located an Open Door at 1000 North Cedar Street. The officer secured the facility.

3:22pm: A Traffic Stop in the 500 Blk. Of East Lincoln Way resulted in Matthew Doyle of Rippey being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:56pm: Carissa Taylor reported a Bat in the House at 403 West South Street. The officer did not locate the bat.

4:47pm: A caller advised of a male with a Medical Condition leaving 1409 North Elm Street. They reported he should not be driving. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

5:52pm: Marty Weidren reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading west into Jefferson. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop. The driver spoke to the driver about the complaint.

6:39pm: Tonya Wood spoke to an officer concerning a Civil Property Issue occurring at 909 West Lincoln Way Street.

10:51pm: Yvon Day reported Loud Music in the 600 Block of South Oak Street. The officer located the source of the music and spoke to the occupant in the residence. The music was turned down.

Saturday, April 10th

7:24am: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 100 Block of North Olive Street. The officer made contact with the female, who was fine.

8:36am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Lincoln Way Street resulted in Jack Schilling of Ames being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

10:27am: An officer responded to a Residential Burglary Alarm at 707 West Harrison Street. The homeowner had accidentally tripped the alarm.

10:43am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Park resulted in James Cavner of Minburn being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

3:02pm: The Parks Department reported Criminal Mischief occurring again at the Kelso Park Shelter House. Unknown subjects had spray painted graffiti on the rock walls again.

5:00pm: Nellie Petterson requested an officer at 107 North Olive Street for a dispute with a family member over gasoline. The officer advised the parties involved it was a Civil Issue and helped diffuse the situation.

6:00pm: Jennifer White reported her juvenile son had been involved in a brief fight with neighboring kids. She requested the officer to speak to their parents and request that the children not play with each other any further. The officer did so.

6:22pm: Jeb Ball reported a van travelling at a high rate of speed on Hwy.4, northbound towards

Jefferson. The officer set up Radar south of town. The reported vehicle passed the officer, but was not speeding.

9:09pm: Christine McDonald requested an officer at 606 Why. 30 East, and reported her friend had been assaulted by her husband. The officer met with the female and began an investigation. The female had facial injuries consistent with her being assaulted. The officer made numerous attempts to locate the husband, but was unsuccessful. The officer has requested an Arrest Warrant for Christopher Herbert Lawrence, 40 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd Offense – Aggravated.”

10:16pm: April Kniffen reported her female neighbor was outside screaming. The officer made contact with an intoxicated female, who was back in her residence. The female advised she did not need assistance form the officer.

Sunday, April 11th

12:10am: Jason Sheldahl requested an officer to check on his residence in Scranton. He had received a text message from his ex-girlfriend advising she would damage the property. The officer passed the information on to a deputy.

8:18am: A Traffic Stop near Cedar and Central resulted in Chimene Peterson of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

10:47am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 800 Block of West South Street.

11:15am: Dallas County requested an officer to attempt to complete a Welfare Check on a female from Jefferson. They believed the female may be injured by her boyfriend. The officer has been

unable to locate the female in Jefferson. 

11:49am: Barb Krueger reported catching a Stray Dog in the 300 Block of East Park Street. The owner arrived shortly after the officer and took possession of the animal.

2:54pm: Lori Tingwald requested an officer to conduct a Welfare Check on her husband, who is staying at the Super 8 Motel in Jefferson. The officer made contact with the male, who was fine.

3:28pm: Kelley Lowe reported a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4, heading north towards Jefferson. The officer and a deputy were unable to locate the reported vehicle.

4:48pm: Patricia Becker reported her adult daughter was coming to Jefferson to pick up her two

grandchildren. She believed her daughter was under the influence of narcotics. The officer advised her to call if the daughter arrives to pick up the kids, and she still believes her to be under the influence. The officer contacted DHS about the matter.

8:18pm: Jessica Hemann spoke with an officer about a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring at 609 South Olive Street.
