Perry Economic Development recently officially closed on the purchase of the Hotel Pattee.
City Administrator Sven Peterson says the process for the purchase ran smoothly and now the hotel is under local ownership. He explains the next steps following the purchase.
“Moving forward probably not a lot of huge changes off the bat. We are just trying to really get our handle on the operations currently and some of the needs of the hotel. We are waiting back some requests for proposals for management companies to help come alongside and partner with us and the staff there now for ongoing management and long term management of the Hotel Pattee.”
Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio the hopes are for the proposals to come in later this month and they are able to select one of the companies with the expectation for them to start in late summer or early fall. Peterson is thankful for the staff that were involved in this process.
“Everything went incredibly smoothly, huge shout out to the whole group working both from the Perry Economic Development side and the side from the Hotel Pattee with the current staff. Phenomenal staff there right now and could not be more grateful for the work that they are putting in.”
Perry Economic Development officially closed on the purchase of the hotel on April 1st.
