Greene County Public Health recently received 300 doses of the one-shot Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
Public health has scheduled two days for public distribution of the vaccine, including Tuesday, April 13th from 9am-6pm; and Wednesday, April 14th from 9am-4pm. Appointments are required to get the vaccine and anyone 18 and older are eligible to receive it. There are two ways to schedule an appointment, either online or by calling public health at 515-386-0564. The vaccines will be given at the public health main office at Greene County Medical Center. Registration forms can also be found online.
Public Health reminds everyone that their vaccines are based on the availability of whichever brand is allotted to them. If you don’t get the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, public health encourages everyone to get whichever vaccine is offered to them from whichever provider they choose.
