Greene County 4-H’ers planning to show swine at either the county fair or the state fair can pick up their ear tags later this month.

Greene County ISU Extension Director Lori Mannel reminds 4-H’ers that before they can purchase ear tags for their swine, they must complete the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training. If you have already completed the training, then you can pick up ear tags at the Extension office in Jefferson on Wednesday, April 7th from 9am-6pm. Mannel points out YQCA training must be completed by May 3rd. 

Ear tags are $1.50 for the county fair and $8 for state fair.
