Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community reminds business owners of a couple of mini-grants.

Design Team Chair Karen Lawton says they offer a building facade and signage mini-grants. She says the facade grant is where a business owner can use $500 to improve the front facade of their building. The signage grant is where a business owner can use up to $500 matching funds to create a new storefront sign for their business.

Lawton is hopeful with the spring-like weather, more applications for those mini-grants will increase.

“Now that people are thinking about how they want their facades to look going into the spring, summer and fall seasons, I think we will have more of that, yes.”
