0210 hrs, An officer spotted two individuals looking into business windows on the north side of the square and spoke with them. They were getting free coats off of the rack in the 100 Block of East Lincoln Way Street.

0312 hrs, A Traffic Stop at Elm and Central resulted in Michael Wright of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability And Fail to Have a Valid DL.”

0650 hrs, Laurie Higgins reported hearing someone trying to break into her residence at 304 East Lincoln Way Street overnight. The officer did not locate any evidence.

1139 hrs, Jeff Ford reported a male attempting to sell tools out of his car at 508 North Elm Street. The subject had left before the officer arrived in the area.

1427 hrs, A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of North Elm resulted in Jonathan Powers of Lake City being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1736 hrs, Danielle Godwin reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading east into Jefferson. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

1829 hrs, A caller reported a vehicle parked on private property in the 500 Block of North Vine Street. The caller refused to give his name or a call back number. Since the officer did not know if the property owner had an issue with the complaint, he took no action.

1919 hrs, A Traffic Stop at Elm and Clark Streets resulted in Tina Lair-Van Meter of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2030 hrs, Tom Schmidt reported a foul odor near 108 West Wilcoxway. The officer determined farmers had spread manure on a fam field south of tow and the wind was blowing the odor into Jefferson.

2340 hrs, An officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street and secured the building.
