The Churdan Library is celebrating National Library Week next week.
The library has activities planned for Monday through Friday. On Monday, there will be a free showing of the book-to-movie “Britt-Marie Was Here.” The movie will be shown at 1:15pm. Then on Tuesday there will be a free program on the City’s recycling program with Troy Reynolds from the Boone County Recycling Services, which will be held virtually at 7pm.
Wednesday’s theme will be in celebration of National Walking Day at 10:30am. Those who attend will select the route and those that participate will be registered for door prizes. If someone wants to participate but can’t at that time are encouraged to do so and send a picture of yourself or your group walking during the week and you will be entered into a drawing.
Thursday will be a program on the Intro to The Community History Archives of Greene County from 3-7pm. The come-and-go event encourages participants to bring their own electronic device, which they can save information to as well. Friday wraps up the week with another book-to-movie at 1:15pm with the showing of “Where the Heart Is.”
All activities are free and open to the public. However, if you want to participate in the virtual recycling program, you must contact the library to get the password. The library number is 515-389-3423.
