A six month drug investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office results in three arrests with more pending.
Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio the three arrests include 45-year-old Sean Shell of Jefferson who is charged with a Class D Felony for conspiracy to deliver marijuana of five grams or more, as well as misdemeanors for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia; 40-year-old Ryan Murphy of Jefferson and 46-year-old James Moreland of Perry were each charged with Class B Felonies for ongoing criminal conduct and conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine of five grams or more.
Williams says their investigation began about six months ago and these individuals are connected to a larger drug network. He notes that they executed a search warrant on March 16th at two residences in Jefferson, including the 200 block of North Maple and 200 block of North Locust Street. Shell was arrested that same day and Murphy and Morelan were arrested on Monday. Murphy remains in the Greene County Jail under a $25,000 cash or surety bond, Moreland was released from jail after posting a $25,000 bond and Shell was also released from jail.
Williams adds more charges and possible arrests are pending further investigation. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
