Friday, March 26th

1:25am: Pat McGinnis requested an officer at 408 South Olive Street for noises in her basement. The officer did not locate anything.

11:51am: Home State Bank reported a subject had deposited a check for $15,000.00 and then withdrew $6000.00 in cash. The check did not clear the bank. The officer is investigating.

1:59pm: The Greene County Middle School requested an officer at 101 Ram Drive to speak with a student and parent. The student had tested Positive on a Drug Test. The officer provided some resources for the parent to attempt to help the child. No criminal charge will be pursued, as the student was not in possession of any narcotics.

6:58pm: Tyler Rysavy reported seeing an underage girl consuming alcohol on Snap Chat. He believed her to be a local female, but could offer no more information to the officer.

7:41pm: The UPRR reported two young females walking on the tracks just east of Cedar Street. The officer and a deputy searched the tracks and area, but did not locate the subjects.

9:44pm: Adam Choruzek requested an officer at 203 South West Street for a reported fight with another male. The officer arrived and learned Choruzek, and the male had been involved in a Verbal Argument and the other subject had left.

Saturday, March 27th

10:16pm: Brenda Batschelet reported a Harassment against a local male. The officer spoke to both parties and learned nothing criminal had occurred.

11:44pm: An officer responded to 771 Wild Rose Lane for a Fire Alarm Activation. It was a false alarm, and all was well at the Motel.

11:57pm: Angie Christensen reported her boyfriend had left the residence with all of his depression medications and was possibly depressed and going to harm himself. He advised he was fishing at the river. The officer and deputies checked all river accesses in Greene county and did not locate the subject. A Stop and Check Welfare was put out on NCIC for the subject.

Sunday, March 28th

5:15am: Cindy Mason reported her neighbor is pounding on the wall and screaming at her to turn down her music at 1000 West Adams #48. The officer spoke to both parties and diffused the issue.

9:31am: An officer checked 600 East Lincoln Way after dispatch received an Open Line 911 Call from the area. The officer did not locate anyone needing assistance.

9:48am: An officer checked 107 Harding Road after dispatch had received a 911 Hang up Call. The officer learned all was fine and the subject had a new phone, and the call was accidental.

11:44am: ER requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street for a Dog Bite. The officer learned a dog at 501 West State Street had bit a female child in the face, unprovoked. The officer made arrangements for the animal to be brought to the Jefferson Vet Clinic on Monday to be euthanized and taken to Ames ISU Vet Lab for rabies testing.

1:05pm: Kelsy Reed reported her 10-year-old son was missing from 609 West Adams Street. She advised she was punishing him for acting out at school and he became angry and ran away. The officer located the juvenile under the overpass bridge and returned him home. The officer was later called back the residence and learned the juvenile was making threats to harm his mother. The officer took the male to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.

2:00pm: Sparky’s One Stop reported a female came to the business and left a Credit Card in a bathroom stall. She advised staff to use the card for whatever they wanted to purchase. The officer identified the female as a local resident and is working to return the card.

3:33pm: An officer checked on the ATM at 200 West State Street after an Alarm came in. The officer found the machine to be fine and secure.

10:54pm: West Des Moines PD requested a Welfare Check on a male juvenile in Jefferson. They had received a call from his friend advising he was suicidal. The officer spoke to the mother and learned the male was fine and not suicidal.

******* An Arrest Warrant was requested after an officer received DCI Lab Results. During an arrest on 02/22/2021, at 777 Wild Rose Lane, an officer located suspected narcotics on the male subject. The items were seized for testing. After positive lab results, the requested warrant is for Corey Allen Mutum, 26 of Carroll for, “Possession of Controlled Substance/Meth – Serious.”
