Multiple Adel-DeSoto-Minburn individual speech participants recently received All State nominations. 

ADM Speech Coach Jacque Seidl says three students including Cash Riker, Sarena Gibson and Sean Whitson received All State nominations for individual speech. Seidl says she is proud of the hard work by the kids. 

“I am just so happy for those kids that put in the time, put in the effort to really perfect their performances that they get that recognition. I think that that’s just a really cool recognition that not everybody gets. It takes a lot of work to receive that All State recognition.”

Riker is a senior and is happy with the outcomes, considering the pandemic continues to carry on in everyone’s life. 

“This year it’s really just given me an appreciation of what we have been able to do. I have been trying to not really think about all of the things that we are missing out on rather just appreciate the things that we do get to do.”

Gibson is also a senior and says while it was somewhat disappointing that they couldn’t participate in regular competition she is still pleased with how the season went. 

“I would say I am pretty happy with how the season has went even though it has definitely been different. Just making All State has been a great way to finish it off.”
