People who are making their way through Perry next week may need to find an alternate route due to construction. 

Perry Public Works Director Jack Butler says March 29th to April 2nd construction will be on Willis Avenue between West 2nd and 3rd streets which could cause the road to go to one-lane or both lanes to be closed. Crews will be installing a storm sewer system between the police station and Wuebker Body Shop. 

“What we are doing is we are trying to catch some roof drains and put a little surface drain in there to control water running off of roofs. What it’s doing right now is it’s flowing back into the building.” 

Butler says they will notify everyone if the street has to be completely closed. The construction is slated to be completed by the end of the week Also, for any questions people are encouraged to contact Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
