After not having a track & field season in 2020, Greene County senior Brianna Osterson is especially eager for the sport to take place this year. “I’m so, so excited. I missed it so much last year and it was a very, very hard time. I was really looking forward to getting better and push myself last year, so I’m really hoping I get that opportunity this year.”

Osterson is a former State place winner in the long jump and a veteran sprinter. Brooklyn Olson and Makala Kafer are other Greene County seniors with State track & field meet experience. Those three are among the athletes head coach Derek Merk is counting on to lead the Rams this season.

The outdoor season is on schedule to begin on Monday, March 29 in Jefferson at Linduska Field for the Greene County Co-ed Early Bird Meet.
