The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is looking for applicants for the living roadway trust fund. 

Cities, counties and organizations who have statewide focus are encouraged to apply for these funds to be used to enhance the vegetation on Iowa’s roadsides. The deadline for fiscal year 2022 is 4 p.m. June 1st. 

The projects seek to educate the public about the need to make sure roadside vegetation is preserved, planted and maintained to add to safety, ecological integration and visual interest on Iowa’s roadways.
