Perry youth interested in reading a book and having a snack, the April’s Books and Bites program is right around the corner.
The Perry Public Library is hosting the program at 3 p.m. April 7th, where first and second graders will receive ingredients to make a snack that is mentioned in the book. The featured book will be The Best Nest by P.D. Eastman and the snack is an edible nest.
Parental consent is required to participate in the program with any food allergies noted. Children are welcome to sign up for the program each month, which is limited to 15 children, as the book and snack is advertised but registration is closed the Friday before each class.
Snack kits will be available for pick up the Monday before the program. To register for the program you can call the library at 515-465-3569 or online here.
