Dallas Center – Grimes boys golf has started to get going with the first week of the season officially in the books after today. The Mustangs are expected to have their schedule really pick up after the calendar flips to April, as they will have 8 different matches and tournaments throughout the month, and 12 overall matches for the regular season.

That will include matches on both April 19th and 20th at their home course Beaver Creek Golf Course in Grimes. The meet on the 20th will include all schools from the Little Hawkeye Conference, and should provide a gage of how good the Mustangs are in their conference.

The sectional meets will be on Friday, May 14th, the district tournament on Friday, May 21st, and the state meet to be on May 27th and May 28th.

The Mustangs have a lot of talented golfers in the program, and hope that a challenging schedule will get them prepared for their big tournaments in the month of May.
