The Guthrie Center School Board met in regular session Monday.
The Board approved the open enrollment requests for the 2021-2022 school year with three students enrolling into the district and one enrolling out. The Board then approved the school calendar for next year, following a public hearing on the topic.
Additionally, the Board heard a presentation from several students following the completed renovation project to the high school auditorium sound system, listened to a presentation from Greene County School District Superintendent Tim Christensen on the Career Academy and opportunities for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School students, reviewed the 2022 fiscal year budget with a proposed $11.44 per $1,000 of valuation tax levy and set the public hearing for the budget for April 12th, which is also when the Board chose to move next month’s meeting to.
The Board also discussed its Return-to-Learn plan with no changes made and they approved a resolution to consider a resolution to continue the instructional support levy.
