The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday in regular session.

The Board approved a payroll change notice for the Secondary Roads Department to promote Chad Herron as engineer technician as presented. County Engineer Josh Sebern said Herron’s previous position has been replaced internally, and he is looking for an individual to hire to replace that person’s position as a motor grader operator. Sebern then gave an update on current projects.

The Board then met the new Human Resources Coordinator Jamie Lindsay, as she started on Monday. Additionally, the Board approved a change order for the law enforcement center project from having double leaf smoke vents to single leaf as presented.

The Board discussed mental health. The current tax levy rate is $25.84 per capita and there were issues brought up about funding and not being allowed to raise the tax levy. The Board has reached out to the CEO of their mental health region to discuss those issues.

It was also announced that Sarah Gomez has resigned as Midwest Partnership executive director. A search has begun to find her replacement. The Board also held a budget workshop.
