The Greene County Medical Center has announced new visitor restrictions.
Patients in Acute Care are limited to three visitors per visit, with the visiting hours open 24/7. Additional guidelines include no age restrictions and visitors must be free from illness such as a fever, sore throat, cough, among others. Visitor guidelines for emergency, clinics, outpatient services and surgery are allowed one visitor.
All designated visitors must be free from illness and individuals at high risk for severe disease are recommended to not visit. All visitors are required to wear a mask, wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the patient’s room. Visitors will be screened for COVID-19 when entering the medical center and staff will provide instructions if additional Personal Protection Equipment is required.
The medical center has made these changes due to the low positivity rate in Greene County and they may change them as the situation continues to be fluid.
