With the coronavirus pandemic making things more difficult like welcoming a new business, the Perry Chamber of Commerce outlines the importance of establishing those relationships.

Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio one way they show their appreciation is with ribbon cuttings, and those serve an important purpose for the community and the business.

“It’s a great opportunity, not only as an announcement, but as an opportunity to meet individuals that play a key role in the day-to-day operations or people that you don’t necessarily have access to on a regular basis if they are higher up in the company.”

Pasutti says it’s a good way to get a behind the scenes look at a business and understand how it operates. Pasutti says it’s been a challenging year to do more ribbon cuttings.

“The past year has been very different for ribbon cuttings. We have things to celebrate but it’s hard to do that physically.”

Pasutti says the Eden Acres ribbon cutting that was held last week was the first of the year and there are other such events that will be taking place to celebrate one year anniversaries too.
