With warmer weather on its way, the Dallas County Conservation Board (DCCB) is transitioning into its spring programming.
Outreach Coordinator Sarah Gilchrist says along with transitioning to spring topics, they are also planning to have more in person programming even if it looks a little different.
“Nowadays you have to register for everything using links for signupgenius so that we can control the size and all of those kinds of protocols.”
Gilchrist notes some upcoming programs include stargazing, spring wildflower wanders, among many other topics. Gilchrist says there are plenty of things to get excited about.
“A fun thing they are going to do this year, they are going to have a Camping 101 session. If you’re new to camping, which wow camping just went through the roof last summer, but some people, if this is a new hobby to them, they maybe want to get kind of the basics.”
Gilchrist says there will also be other beginner classes including kayaking and canoeing.
