Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball and wrestling have all wrapped up for the year, as the winter sports season is finally completed.
The girls basketball team was able to put up one of their best seasons in program history, making it to the state semifinals in 4A and winning their first tournament game along the way. They finished 21-3 on the record and were also Little Hawkeye Conference champions as well.
The boys basketball team were also able to put up some great numbers this year, as they were able to make state after posting a 20-4 record on the year. They were able to make it for the first time since the 2016-17 season, and helped establish a roadmap for future success as well.
The wrestling team saw a lot of victories in the win column and were able to send multiple wrestlers to state, and are bringing back a good portion of their team for next year, as they expect to have some great grapplers on the mat.
Congratulations to all Mustang athletes on successful seasons, as many of these athletes will be transitioning to the spring season, where they will look to find similar success.
