The Jefferson Public Library is planning to reopen to the public soon.
Library Director Jane Millard says the Library Board of Trustees voted to reopen the library on March 31st. There will be limited hours and additional information released at a later date. She appreciates everyone’s support as they were open for a period of time last year, but then chose to close their doors again in November, and have been closed to the public since then.
“People have been incredibly understanding and patient. I think the word this year is ‘pivot.’ I think our community has pivoted really well when we have needed them to. And our main concern is everyone’s safety. So it’s working well for everyone to get their books curbside. They are keeping us very, very busy.”
Millard notes that even after they open the buildings again curbside service will continue.
