The Greene County School Board met Wednesday night.

The meeting started with a public hearing on the 2021-22 calendar. Following the hearing, the Board approved the calendar that includes a monthly Monday no school day for professional development. The Board then approved to adjust its mask matrix from red to yellow starting April 6th. The yellow level means masks are to be worn if you can’t be socially distant from someone else.

Under new business, the Board approved a change order of $67,338 for the career academy and high school projects, and a $48,000 change order for the middle school project as presented. Additionally, the Board approved a $29,964 fertilizer bid with Raccoon Valley Lawn Care, a $46,763 quote from Rimol Greenhouse Systems for the Ag Department to have a new greenhouse, and ratified the negotiated agreement with the Greene County Education Association for a total district cost of $244,644. 

The Board also approved the administration total package increase of 2.99%, classified staff with 3% salary increase, bus drivers for a 2.2% wage increase and cooks with a 3.5% salary increase. Then they approved the 2021-22 contracts for district employees, five fundraiser requests were also approved, along with several first readings of board policy revisions and set public hearings for the certified 2022 fiscal year budget and a 2021 fiscal year budget amendment for April 12th at 5:15pm.
