
The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday in regular session.
County Conservation Director Brad Halterman gave an update. He said the Pullman Railroad Car project is close to completion and is still on target for the May 1st opening date. He then talked about the Lenon Mills Dam project. Halterman told the Board the City of Panora’s construction project to help improve the bridge’s function is anticipated to be completed by March 31st.
The Board then approved the assignment of two parcels from the county held tax sale as presented, and a $700,000 advancement request from County Engineer Josh Sebern from the Windfarm tax increment financing for various bridge and road projects. Sebern then gave an update. He reviewed some personnel changes and said two bridge projects from last year, including one south of Bagley and southwest of Wichita Road, were completed. Another bridge repair project on Grant Avenue has started and the construction materials for three culvert projects have been received.
The Board then approved selling two parcels in Diamondhead Lake to county resident David Brown, set the public hearing for the 2022 fiscal year budget for March 25th at 10am, the fifth pay estimate for the law enforcement center project of $506,005, an invoice to Shive-Hattery as presented and canvassed the votes, with no changes in the results, from the special election for the Panorama School District.
