The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board approved the 2021-22 school calendar at their regular meeting Monday. 

Next school year’s school calendar will look a little different as school will start on August 30th to accommodate for the opening of the new Meadow View Elementary as well as the continuation of 1 p.m. early dismissals on Friday’s.

Also, the Board set the public hearing for the 2022 fiscal year budget at 6 p.m. April 12th, and a public hearing for the fiscal year 2021 budget amendment at 6:10 p.m. April 12th. They also approved a contract with Piper Sandler for 2021 general obligation bond refinancing and other agenda items related to that process. 

Finally, the Board approved a three year fiber internet lease for $48,600 with Mediacom for Meadow View Elementary and approved a market factor resolution for fiscal year 2021-2022 to allow for Steve Brown to get a certification for social studies.
