Mar 5:

Accident: Accident: Vehicle 1 silver 2013 Hyundai registered to Street Smarts LLC 9914 Swanson Blvd, Clive, lowa, driven by Rubi Anneliese Hernandez, 1704 6th St., Perry Vehicle 2 white 1996 Acura registered to Leticia Pineda, 604 3rd St., Perry driven by Jose Vincente Zarceno,500 4th St., Perry, Vehicle 1 was traveling south on 1st Ave and was making a right-hand turn into the Dollar General parking lot. The driver of vehicle 1 did not turn enough and vehicle 1 struck the rear of vehicle 2 as it was pulling out of the driveway, Minor damage to both vehicles estimated at $1800.

Mar 6: Accident: Unit 1 green 2001 Honda Civic registered to Mekonnen Gebremedhin Kemnay, 2514 Perry Park, Perry. Driven by Fillimon Mekonnen Gebremedhin, 2514 Perry Park., Perry Unit 2 black 2011 Chrysler Town and Country registered to and driven by Sarah Ann Shold, 2506 Perry Park., Perry. Unit 2 was traveling northbound on 16th St and was turning right onto Perry Park Ave. Unit one was attempting to turn left onto 16th St from Perry Park Ave and struck vehicle 2. Total estimated damages $2200.

Arrest: Claudio Gabriel Vega-Varela, 2206 Willis Ave., Perry was arrested and charged with public intoxication

Mar 8: Arrest: Michael Lawrence Powell, age 40, 201 E 2nd St., Woodward was taken into custody on a Polk County Warrant for failure to appear, original charge, theft 5th Degree.

Arrest: Maryha Marie Rosad-Kirkman, age 22,329 St. Paul St., Perry was taken into custody and charged with driving under suspension. Received report of a theft in the 1200 block of 141st Street, Case under investigation.

Accident: Unit 1 silver 2013 Hyundai registered and driven by Bo Reh, 1212 2nd St., Perry. Unit 2 legally parked black 2019 Ford F150 Pick up registered to Richard Allen Lodestein, 2801 1st Ave. Unit 1 was backing out of a driveway in the 2800 block of 1st Ave., and it backed into unit 2. Minor damage to the driver side of vehicle 2 and rear end damage to vehicle 1. Total estimated loss $1000.

Mar 9: Arrest: Brandon Lee Ferguson, age 22, 2516 Perry Park Ave., Perry was arrested on two Dallas County warrants for failure to appear, original charge driving under suspension, and on a Perry original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
