West Central Valley’s girls basketball team may only be losing one senior from this season, but the team will look to establish its identity a bit more next year.
Head coach Dan Druivenga says it was difficult for a lot of players to establish a rhythm, but he was happy to see improvement through the year for one of his sophomores.
“Kinzie Alt came back out this year, and we didn’t know where to play her at the beginning. She kinda stepped into the post when we needed her to. She really improved there. She’s very undersized, probably only like a 5-5, 5-6 girl, but she’s playing the post and she really got better. She’s going to have to start looking for her shot more next year.”
Alt will be one of the frontrunners to fill the post position with the graduation of senior Presley Pivonka, who started all 22 contests for the Wildcats this past season.
