The Perry Chamber of Commerce recently announced the start of a competition to help raise funds for this year’s 4th of July fireworks display. 

Nominations for the Big Boom Bracket Battle, which can be self-nominated or nominations of others, are due by noon on March 5th and can be through email at PerryChamber@PerryIA.org or by calling 515-465-4601  and the elimination round will take place on March 8th on Facebook.

Other key dates include, March 15th is when the Explosive 8 is announced, along with fundraising to begin; March 22nd is the Firecracker 4, March 29th the Grand Finale Duo is announced and April 5th the winner is announced with the prize of a pie in the face, which will be determined at a later date. 

The Big Boom Bracket Battle is a fundraising event for the annual fireworks drive for the Fourth of July celebration in Perry.
