Dallas Center – Grimes boys basketball will be on the court tonight for class 3A Substate 8 finals action when they take on the Atlantic Trojans with the winner to advance to the state tournament in Des Moines next week. The game will be played at a neutral site at Indianola High School.

DCG comes in with a 19-3 record while Atlantic a solid 14-6 mark. The Mustangs are coming off of a physical win in the semifinals last week against ADM, while Atlantic was able to defeat the number six team in 3A in Glenwood.

Both teams play contrasting styles, with DCG looking to push the basketball and play at a fast pace, while Glenwood will try to slow things down with their talented post play, and try to make this a very physical game. Keys for a Mustang victory will include winning the rebounding battle against a great rebounding team, finding Glasgow and Rankin early and often offensively, and looking to find ways to make winning plays in winning moments.
