The Iowa Beef Industry Council and Iowa Cattlemen’s Association’s 12th Annual Iowa’s Best Burger nominations are open.
Voting can be done online or by text message through March 15. All nominated burgers must have 100 percent beef and be served on a bun or another bread product. Burgers will be judged by an anonymous panel and criteria for judging includes: Taste (50 percent), Appearance and Presentation (30 percent), Proper Cooking Temperature / Degree of Doneness (10 percent, must reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit) and Overall (10 percent).
Ten finalists will be selected from across the state based on the number of nominations each restaurant receives.
