Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball are both in the heart of their postseason runs, as they both prepare for big games in the upcoming week.

On the girls side, they have made it to the state tournament for girls 4A and will be taking on the Bluejays of Bondurant-Farrar for first round action. Both teams are very fundamentally sound and should be a showcase of offensive team skill on the court. The tipoff will be at 5 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

The boys will be competing in the 3A Substate 8 final in Indianola against the Atlantic Trojans. DCG was able to survive on Thursday night in their win over ADM while Atlantic got a surprising upset over state ranked Glenwood. The game from Indianola High School will be on Monday at 5:30.
