4:16am: A Traffic Stop on 220th, west of Grimmell Road resulted in Marc Presswood of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:01am: Officers assisted the Medical Examiner with an Unattended Death in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.

10:47am: An officer responded to Scranton to assist the Sheriff’s Office with a reported Bank Robbery.

1:53pm: Oly’s Corner requested an officer at 208 West Lincoln Way Street for a possible Counterfeit $100.00 Bill. The officer took the currency to a local bank for inspection by bank employees. It was deemed to be real currency.

1:58pm: Officers investigated a Backing Accident at 300 American Ave. A 2016 Freightliner Semi Tractor and trailer, owned by Border States Ind. of N.D. was being operated by Tony Dirksen of Ankeny, was backing in the area of the loading docks and backed into a parked Semi. The 2016 Peterbilt was owned by Betts Trucking of Jefferson. The Dirksen vehicle had very minor damage reported of $100.00. The Betts semi had a reported $5,000.00 in damages.

3:16pm: Pat Griffin reported receiving the Social Security Scam Phone Call. He was advised his SS Number had been compromised and requests were made for personal information. Griffin did not give any information and ended the call.

4:24pm: A Greene County teacher spoke to an officer about concerns for the safety of a student. The school and officer will work with DHS on the issues.

7:20pm: Ace Hardware reported a vehicle parked in their parking lot for a few days with no plates on the vehicle. The officer is working to contact the owner to have the vehicle removed.

8:08pm: Dollar General requested an officer at 204 North Locust for a Shoplifting event caught on camera. An investigation has begun.
