The Stuart City Council approved the purchase of an ambulance for $15,500 from Menlo Rescue during its special meeting Monday.

Additionally, the Council set a public hearing date for March 8 for an insurance funding loan not to exceed $245,000. They also set a public hearing date of March 22 for an Urban Renewal Plan amendment.

The Council also submitted a letter of support concerning a Community Catalyst Building Remediation Grant for the Hotel Stuart renovation project.

Councilmembers also approved new procedures for mowing contractors for the cemeteries and they approved signing authority for the Cemetery Board president for deed purchases in case the mayor is not available.

Finally, the Council discussed live streaming council meetings on YouTube for another method of public access. No action was taken on the matter to allow for further research.
