As more COVID-19 vaccines are administered in Greene County, additional providers have started their process as well.

Jefferson Hy-Vee Pharmacist Courtni Whitt says they started giving the Pfizer vaccine three weeks ago to those 65 and older, as part of the Phase 1B priority group. She notes that they are waiting on a new shipment of the vaccine and qualified individuals can access an online link for questions and find out how to schedule an appointment. Whitt points out they receive their vaccine through a federal pharmacy program and anticipates continuing to receive doses on a consistent basis. Anyone with questions can contact Hy-Vee Pharmacy at 515-386-4151.

Jefferson Medicap Pharmacy Owner Taylor Angelmyer tells Raccoon Valley Radio they have yet to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but are continuing to take requests from those 65 and older to be placed on a waiting list. He anticipates receiving their first doses of the vaccine through Greene County Public Health soon and will contact those that are on the waiting list to schedule an appointment. He notes, people can stop by Medicap or call them at 515-386-2164 with questions.
