The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

During open forum, County Attorney Thomas Laehn gave an update about mental health cases. He commended Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Heather Wilson with Greene County Medical Center and her work with court-ordered mental health individuals. He said she is giving regular six-month updates on criminals ordered to mental health programs, which historically didn’t happen.

The Board then approved a resolution for authorization of an installment purchase agreement with Midland Power Cooperative for a total of $600,000. The agreement also outlined providing levy of taxes to pay the full amount. The County is purchasing the Midland Power building in Jefferson and will renovate it for a new law enforcement center. The agreement includes four $150,000 payments and includes about 11-acres of land.
