Lakeside Village Director Amanda Creen received the 2020 Community Impact Award from Jaybird Senior Living.

The award is presented to someone who has made a positive impact on society through volunteerism and philanthropic efforts. In 2020, Creen secured over $245,000 in state grants to assist with training for her staff and others in the Guthrie County community. She says the recognition is nice, but she hopes the recognition extends to her workers as well.

“If my staff wouldn’t have put in all the hours and dedication to the education, would I have been successful in running those grants? Absolutely not. It’s their determination that makes me look successful.

Creen adds that she’s thankful for the acknowledgement from her management team for the extra effort, but her goal is to make their building the most educated, most successful and highest quality of care across the board.
