
The West Central Valley girls bowling team participated in the state-qualifying tournament Thursday at Thunderbowl in Council Bluffs.
Senior Rylie Mertz had the top Wildcats’ score with a 274 two-game series, a top-20 finish among individuals. Senior Grace Hammond collected 258 pins and senior Rylie Hutton scored 237. Junior Abby Balsemier threw a 218 and junior Leah Vallad rounded out the scoring with a 180.
In total, the Wildcats scored 1686 pins as a team, which they finished sixth in the tournament.
