The Greene County Conservation Board is hosting a hunter safety education class next month.

The class will be held on March 6th from 8am-4pm at the Greene County ISU Extension office in Jefferson. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch and due to COVID-19, the class is limited to 15 people. Individuals born after January 1, 1972 are required to take the class before purchasing a valid hunting license in Iowa. The minimum age requirement to take the course is 12 and it is free. 

Registration is only done online. Click the link below to register through the DNR. Anyone with questions can contact Greene County Conservation Director Dan Towers at 515-386-5674.
