U.S. Senator Charles Grassley stopped by Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Middle School for a question and answer session with community members Wednesday.
In the question and answer session a variety of questions were brought up by community members including concerns with the amount of executive orders being signed by President Joe Biden and issues surrounding broadband.
Grassley said the pandemic has brought an increased need for broadband in rural communities including in areas such as telehealth and distance learning when it relates to school districts conducting virtual learning.
Grassley told Raccoon Valley Radio that telehealth most likely would not have become a permanent fixture in health had the coronavirus pandemic not happened. The visit was part of Grassley’s 99-county tour.
