F0r a half of basketball Tuesday night the Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs looked like they were in good shape leading 29-10 at halftime over North Polk. Despite a Comet charge, DCG was able to survive and extend their winning streak winning 56-50.

It was a tale of two halves with the Mustangs working a 15-3 lead after one quarter of play and ballooning that lead into the locker room. They were able to score just enough down the stretch despite a good effort from the Comets to pull off the upset.

The Mustangs will be returning to the court tomorrow against the Ballard Bombers in a big showdown for 3A hoops. The game will be played in Grimes with the tip time to be at 7:45.
