
The Greene County High School wrestling team qualified four for the Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament.
The four wrestlers included three district champions with sophomore McKinley Robbins at 120-pounds, and seniors Brady Stauffer at 138-pounds and Sawyer Schiltz at 285-pounds. Freshman Gavin Scheuermann placed second at the district tournament and also qualified for state.
The four qualifiers competed this past Saturday at the district tournament at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn. The state wrestling tournament is February 18-20th at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Greene County wrestles in Class 2A, which begins with opening and consolation rounds at 6pm on Thursday. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the coverage on all three of its radio stations all three days of the tournament.
