A pair of West Central Valley wrestlers participated in the Class 1A District 7 Tournament at Underwood Saturday, but neither qualified for the state competition.

In the 152-pound bracket, Kaedon Lindsay was defeated by pinfall by Mount Ayr’s Jaydon Knight. In the second place match, Missouri Valley’s Ben Hansen earned a win by 7-4 decision over Lindsay.

In the 145-pound bracket, Blaise Beane went the distance against Mount Ayr’s Trae Ehlen, losing an 11-0 major decision. Beane was defeated by pinfall in the third-place match by Missouri Valley’s Eric McIlnay.
