The Raccoon Valley Radio listening area is facing extremely cold temperatures this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties are under a wind chill advisory until noon today, and then a wild chill warning will be in effect from 9pm tonight through noon on Monday. Expected lows will reach 30-40 degrees below zero. 

The National Weather Service warns that with temperatures this low, frostbite can impact someone as little as ten minutes to exposed skin. If you are going to be outside, wear gloves, a hat, coat and other protective clothing.
