Greene County and Paton-Churdan performed well during the Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group State contest.

Greene County Speech Coach Kelley Gray tells Raccoon Valley Radio Reader’s Theater received straight Division I-ratings from the three room judges at Madrid High School this past Saturday. Group Improvisation earned a Division II-rating. Paton-Churdan Speech Coach Kellie Henderson says Group Improvisation, Radio Broadcast and Short Film each received Division II-ratings. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IHSSA has announced that there will not be an all-state festival for large group this year, however the organization is still going to recognize those performances that receive all-state nominations by the judges. In order to be nominated for all-state, the performance must receive an overall Division I-rating.
