The Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service will host a free Virtual Storm-Spotter Training Session on March 17.
The webinar will cover topics such as: formation of severe weather storms, what to report, how and where to communicate the information and how to register as a severe storm-spotter with the National Weather Service.
Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says that people who learn the information from this course can react to rapidly changing weather conditions and improve their own, their family’s and their community’s safety in severe weather conditions.
Registration is required and a link to sign-up can be found on our website at Raccoon Valley Radio dot com. The session will begin at 7 p.m. March 17 and last 60 to 75 minutes. To register for the Virtual Storm Spotter Training Session, click here.
