
Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger basketball was able to take the court on Friday night for both the boys and the girls, and were able to pull off the doubleheader sweep, with the girls winning 57-45 and the boys winning 71-33. ADM girls improve to 7-13 and boys to 7-9.
On the girls side, the Tigers were able to get a great night of balanced scoring in their victory, with four different players in double figure scoring in Nicole Storek, Grace Hardcastle, Olivia Tollari, and AJ Smith. The Tigers were able 28-25 at halftime but were got a solid defense performance in the third quarter, holding the Wildcats to only three points, which helped them balloon their lead. The 57-45 score was identical as the first time these two teams played each other.
The boys came out of the gate quickly on Friday night setting a tone, taking a 24-9 lead after one quarter of play and leading 45-18 at half. The 71 points were the third highest scoring total of the season and second highest in regulation. Junior Sam Hlas was able to put up five threes on the night in route to 17 points. The win is the sixth straight in the series for the Tigers.
Tigers hoops returns to the court on Tuesday night with Winterset coming to Adel.
