The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released postseason pairings yesterday for schools in Class 1A, 2A, 3A.

Paton-Churdan opens Class 1A Region 2 action in Churdan on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. vs. Ar-We-Va (Westside), a team P-C is 2-0 this season against. A first round victory would keep Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rockets at home in Churdan for the second round on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. vs. either Melcher-Dallas or Martensdale-St. Mary’s. The semifinal game is on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in Anita vs. either CAM (Anita), Southeast Warren (Liberty Center), or Orient-Macksburg. The Region 2 title game will likely be against 2020 State Champion and number two ranked Newell-Fonda at a site to be determined. KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will broadcast the Feb. 11 game between P-C and AWV.

Greene County is in Class 3A Region 1 and the Rams are going southwest to Atlantic for the opening round on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. That game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Both the Trojanns and Rams are below the .500 mark, and the winner makes the trek to Cherokee to meet either top ranked Cherokee, Washington High School or Kuemper Catholic (Carroll). Panorama is on the bottom side of the Region 1 bracket and will be favored in round one vs. Red Oak, and in round two vs. either Shenandoah or Clarinda.
