For Greene, Dallas and Guthrie County hunters who would like to brush up on their turkey hunting skills, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering virtual courses.

The two-part course will be from 6-8 p.m. March 16 and 23rd and is geared towards participants who are 16 and older. However, those under the age of 16 must have an adult register and participate in the course as well.

The first course will teach turkey history, habitat, behavior, regulations, safety and gear. The second course will look at strategies, tactics, calling, field dressing and cooking recipes. There is limited space for the classes so early registration is encouraged.

For information on how to register for the first course you can go here and for the second course you can go here.
