Dallas Center – Grimes football has seen a lot of successful football players come through their program the last couple of years, and Wednesday they were able to see four Mustangs sign their national letters of intent to play football at the next level. Drew Clausen signed with Northern Iowa, Zach Brand with Iowa, Blake Willey with Grand View, and Grant Waymire with Iowa Western.

All four players were able to contribute a ton to DCG football throughout their careers, with all being major parts of a team that went to the state quarterfinals in 2019 and being the number 1 ranked team in 3A in 2020. Clausen was a terrific long snapper, Brand a big running back, Willey at linebacker, and Waymire on the offensive and defensive lines. DCG will have a lot to replace from losing these talented kids come next year.

All four programs are getting solid kids on and off the field, and all will hope to make an impact with their respective schools come fall. Congratulations to Drew Clausen, Zach Brand, Blake Willey, and Grant Waymire at the next level.
